Posting volume and asking prices rose
Traders were more active across the communities from October 1 to 8, 2026. Overall posting volume rose by about a third compared with the prior week. Some prior-week counts were undercounted because of collection limits, so the rise may be overstated.
Asking prices mentioned in posts also moved higher. The median asking price across priced listings was about twelve thousand dollars, compared with about ten thousand dollars the week before, a rise of about 16 percent. Counts are not deduplicated, and the number of priced listings differed between the two periods. The highest asking price mentioned in posts was just under two hundred thousand dollars.

GMT watches and the Submariner lead model mentions
GMT watches had the highest mentions of any model, up about 37 percent from the prior week. The Submariner was second, up about 21 percent. GMT is a type of watch made by several brands, so the figure reflects the category and not a single maker. Prior-week counts for these models may be undercounted.
Speedmaster, Black Bay and Seamaster each drew moderate mentions. Speedmaster mentions were up about 22 percent, Black Bay about 27 percent and Seamaster about 17 percent.
Daytona, Day-Date and Aquanaut show the sharpest gains
Several models with moderate mentions posted larger percentage increases. Daytona mentions rose about 65 percent, Day-Date about 72 percent and Aquanaut about 83 percent.
Nautilus mentions rose about 300 percent, but the previous-period base was very small, which inflates the percentage. Oyster Perpetual went the other way, with mentions down about 36 percent. It was described as one of the few decliners.
What listings and posts looked like
Dealer-label shipping and wire or Zelle payments appeared in large numbers of posts. Full-kit language such as full set and box and papers also appeared in large numbers of listings. Both are approximate and based on posts.
Explicit price-cut wording was infrequent compared with overall listing volume. Traders asked for reference checks on counterparties in several posts.
